If you go google lyrics to "let it be" there is a web sight that gives you a little insight of what this was about. You're pretty close. John hated the song because he thought it sounded too much like a christian. Anyway you'll read it there. Pretty intresting though. I'm with you on the idiot above.

No it's about weed and no they are not high in this video. I'm not completely sure what the song is about but I know that the line "mother mary" is a reference to Paul's mum.
