Tiger is the best player period. What he accomplished at the US Open with a torn ACL and 2 stress fracters was unbelievable. The best putter of all-time. The best iron player of all-time.The most focused golfer that I have ever seen. Okay he can't hit a driver straight. He does not need it. The guy won the British Open without hitting a driver and he only hit two 3 woods. Who can do that besides Woods. No one.

Anthony Kim is one.Young but he will be a factor.

he's also inaccurate off the tee sometimes because of the late hands of his reworked swing sometimes cause him to push it

True, but then, he's playing in an era when it hardly matters. Can't blame a guy for playing the game as it's laid out now--driver-shaft-ball combinations that a 55-year-old can hit 320, super-receptive greens, perfect putting surfaces for when you have to scramble after a shot from the rough, moisture-eating grooves...I mean, a guy would be crazy _not_ to bomb it in an era when you can win the U.S. Open after hitting 53% of the fairways. I guarantee you that never happened 30-40 years ago.

I agree with that i think tiger is a great clutch player around the greens..but lack some swing accuracy off the tee..

(that was to jms also)

[sorry, hit "post" mistakenly]
...apart from the fiddling with plane and other tweaking, his basic fundamentals _are_ Jack's--the big shoulder turn and width of arm swing, the dead-square left wrist, unwinding from the ground up, nose pointed at the ball's original position until full extension on the follow-through. The one thing that's not in that mix is a super-steady head, and coincidentally that's one thing Tiger's been working on the past couple of years and has improved it a lot.

"Jack's...ideas worked for him"?
Well, yes...but they also worked for guys like Ernie Els and Greg Norman, both of whom credit Golf My Way as their groundwork. Several other top pros have mentioned it as being critical to their development as well. As for Tiger, apart from the fiddling with plane |
