Man, sure enough, change is tough. Regi Wooten has hands down made his own sound. Everything he does has never been done before.
If you look at him he is actually playing notes, he is in key and he is forming chords. He knows his shit, he is just applying it in a very creative way.

GuitarHeroIdiots , you are aptly named. Don't confuse pressing some buttons while you follow a screen with playing music or knowing what you're talking about. That plastic stick your playing isn't an instrument and you're not making music. Your comment in both content and spelling are also indicative of your complete full-of-shititude. I recognize those guitar riffs from 1:39 on. I once heard a farmer try to extinguish with his hands, a chicken that had burst into flames. Same sound. Same technique.

It's a poor carpenter that blames his tools. Or as Willie 'Minnesota Fats' Mosconi says, "if you can't play with anything, you can't play with anything. It's not the recording device that's playing that sloppy mess. Reg's licks are a joke. He's even laughing half the time 'cause he knows it. In fact the only thing that sounds remotely musical (and the crowds reaction confirms it) is when he drops the opening lick from 'Car Wash'. I'm sure he can play but you would never know from this example.
