Both these guys are the gold standard. And what makes Letterman great is the fact that he's an ass, and he knows it. And he understands how much BS showbiz is. There's nothing sincere about it, and that's how he approaches it. And Ferrel is the funniest guy in the game right now.

Why is it that in every Letterman Show the audience seems to be in a constant state of hysterical laughter, just waiting to explode even from the tiniest mistake or akward silent pause in the interview? I find Letterman funny too, don't get me wrong but just can't point my finger at why it is...
