This sounds a lot different to the loaded version but is virtually identical to the version on the live album.

The Trinity goes like this :
songs written by Lou Reed
1.Heroin
2.Sweet Jane
3.Satellite of love
and the definitive female versions of those tracks are by
1.Opal
2.Milla Jovovich
3.Cowboy Junkies

What a great song, rendition. It's not nearly as lovely, however, as Flo's gum chewing. But nonetheless, what is.

The music of that episode was amazing -- it opened happy with the Lou Reed version, and ended downbeat with the Cowboy Junkies version. Very powerful.

this is a sexy song to dance to. where ever you are and this song comes on , ask a girl for a dance. i was on a road trip with the gf , listening to Sirius radio and this came on. i pulled over and cranked the volume and grabbed my girls hand for a dance. good times

Lou Reed himself said this was the DEFINITIVE version of the song. He overstated, but this is an inspired version (as much as it can be for shoe-gazer types!).

Just heard this version on a CSI episode about unsolved murders of unknown women (Jane Doe) Was kinda creepy but good song. |
