that's a really good point, personally i think lamarr was a bit better but i still watch every episode with amstel and look forward to new episodes and find it very very funny

Oh, don't get me wrong, some of the best Buzzcock shows have been ones hosted by Amstell, but sometimes he pushes the awkward questions a bit too far, or diverts on to a joke that's already been milked for all its worth. I just sometimes wish he'd shut up and get on with hosting the rounds.

amstell appeals more to girls, lamarr has a more masculine humour. I agree the show was worse once mark left, it just became popworld with swearing.

This show has really gone down the pan since Bill Bailey left (no offence meant to Phill Jupitus or Simon Amstell, as they are both hilarious).

You don't get places in presenting by being exactly like your predecessor. THAT is a real skill. It's a different show with Amstell, and it's a show that I like. Whether I preferred it with Lamarr or not is irrelevant, really. |
