Probably because, as mere observers/admirers/devotees WE see a pretty girl with a hook or hooks as being especially attractive, but SHE could well be too self-concious or embarrassed to be seen in public that way. It often takes a long time to come to terms with limb-loss, although some manage it almost straight away. That said, I quite agree with your sentiments.

This attractive lady could be a lot more efficient cutting the fruit with a stainless steel hook to hold it in place. Wonder wht she doesn't use one?

Why does she cut the fruits on the nice table in this fine room and not in the kitchen on a cutingwood ? Also in this position she cane held the Fruits witch feets .
