I think Sigur Ros are in the traidition of other shoegaze bands, in that their music is wonderful but they are far from dynamic performers or great interviews.

wow... the interviewer must have said something earlier because they didn't seem to care for him too much...

oh come on, how more crappy this could be? "Does it mean anything?", "Does it really mean nothing? Really really?" "Is this the way you want to go lyrically?"... Bullshit. The worst interview I've heard, but not on the band's side. The worst reporter's job ever... If was interviewed like that I'd made it even harder for the guy...

OMG! Scandinavians, seriously, I dont know if I should laugh or feel sorry for all of them. Men of few words. Haha. Worst interview everrrr!

Bad questions, but they could have shown just a little more interest... i think

As a music reporter and frequent interviewer myself, this video made me cringe. Admittedly, the interviewer didn't seem to have done his research or come up with compelling questions (a definite no-no), but interviewing is a give-and-take, and Sigur Ros, much as I love them, were definitely not playing ball. The questions were pretty vanilla, but with a little bit of work on the band's part, the interview could have been salvaged. Honestly, I would have killed this as quickly as possible. |
