Is that OmniTurf or natural grass playing field?

Well it seems Colorado actually needed to cheat 3 times to win the championship that year. We all know about the 5 downs and the "clipping" call. But, I'm pretty sure that they didn't even score on their 5th down.
As a Georgia Tech fan, I will always hate Colorado. Almost as much as UGA.

Trust me as a die hard missouri fan this video is tough to relive, but mizzou was very lucky to have the help of the 12th man aka "omniturf". If the big 8 officials would have paid attention to the downs Mizzou would have won the game,if CU was that great that year they would have dispatched the tigers by 20 points.
Like I said tough to take as a tiger knowing we actually stopped the national champs.

On some level, you have to blame the chain gang on the side-line for not changing the marker.
Honestly the confusion probably came from when the ball was downed on first down and the change was probably not accounted for.
I never actually heard the entirety of the audio from the game and cannot fathom the announcers not at least keeping track of the downs.

Colorado needs a 5th down and the help of the refs in the Mizzou game and in the Orange Bowl to pull out a "share" of their one and only NC...something to really be proud of...lol...I cant stand either team so this situation is quite comical to me actually.

Wow, the officiating crew really screwed this game up. Did they not realize that Johnson spiked the ball on first down? That blunder confused everyone, including the commentators. It's kinda hard to tell if the fans knew what was going on or not, but this totally falls on the officials heads. Horrible ending to a game if you're a fan of the Mizzou Tigers, but, nevertheless, this will always be a huge chapter in the annals of college football history.

I still think that the 1990 CU team should have ********* to indicate the 5th down and the mysterious clip call. However as credit is due they did win at NEBRASKA, they did tie a good UT VOLS team, and IMO I think the 1990 UW team was the best in college football, im still baffled that they lost to UCLA. Now here's a question what college season is more confusing 1990 or 2007?
