i think the fact that eddie van halen took a little known technique at the time, and used it in a new way is fairly original...and say what you want about yngwie...he was one of the first to do the whole neo-classical thing

he uses the same patterns over and over on all his songs. which is kinda of annoying, i think he could do with learning some more scales, cos this is just repetitive.

No one said he claimed he invented tapping, so why did you change the subject? My point was that people like Yngwie and Eddie STEAL their ideas from others, instead of being more original. I want to see more ORIGINAL guitarists. Is that wrong?

I am famous. But I'm famous for POLITICS, sadly. (I'd rather play guitar all the time, but politics is more urgent here in NYC, where our nazi mayors Giuliani and Bloomberg have arrested half the musicians, outlawed dance (look it up!) and shut down most music clubs. I'm moving for the 4th time in 4 years which fucking sucks b/c I don't have time for this nonsense. But America means FAKE 'choice'.)
