um if you look closer he does have one...
but if u actually meant shoulder rest then well a lot of artists during those days did not use one. it's actually beneficial since there will be enough spave between your neck and the violin which helps move much more naturally without such big disruptive motions. as you can see heifetz seems like he's gliding with his violin :) |
