how do you know that there werent ever 60 million natives in the americas?! are you basing your judgement on modern 'european' science evidence because as i hope you know, european science says its a fact, then every 10 years or so they change there minds, and facts are now different. european science = european ignorance. i.e. if they dont understand it, it doesnt exist. how ignorant is that? rmemeber when the earth was flat and everybody agreed lol, when are people gonna learn?

I loved everything he was saying, but his facts are a little off (not that this matters much). There were never 60 million natives in America. And we are not 95% water...

You and so many, many more.. Hollywood is another sin against humanity, concerning the Natives. So many years they twisted the truth into the opposite: the natives were bloodthirsty and the white the poor victims. I think, the first film that shows a glimps into the other direction was an old Elvis Presley film "Flaming Star". But they never bothered to find out the truth - up to the eighties, I think.

in case you are really interested: I liked the books of john and Archie Lame Deer; "Lakota Woman" of Mary Crow Dog. And: Wokini, by Billie Mills and Nicholas Sparks. Maybe they tell you something about those who seem to be pretty lost in your town. And: about those who fought the devil alcohol with more success... it's worth it...

hey, don't twist my words... I never said YOU are to blame for what "the white man" did 100 years ago. I just tried to show you what happened to them during the last 200 years up to now. It didn't stop 100 years ago, did it? what about the kids in the 1970s taken out of their families by force and sent into schools of strangers, where they were not aloud to speak their own language or see their parents? Do the reservations still exist or not? What is going on our days? How about trying to help? |
