If you are referring to the black sword, it only makes the black so that guards can't see the reflection from a distance...

I've been playing tenchu z for only a couple months now and i completed it in about a week anyway i didnt know about some of the teqniuqes u used like the rice ball and going on the roof how did u do that by the way? i also liked the way u lined up Consecutive SK's awesome skills dude mad props ^^ !!!
