The Riddler looks best as a slick business man like in the original animated series.

It will be hard to put the Riddler in another movie as a villain, now that he's reformed & working as a private investigator who knows Batman's identity & has actually worked for him. Plus all the brain damage he's recieved seems to have diminished his love of Riddles quite a bit.

I loved The Riddler i hated his start in one of the newer batman series though i cant remember what one
it was where he made a device to make people smarter

It was a sort ego thing for him I think. He had to prove that he was smart enough to get away with whatever crime he wanted, even if he purposely left clues behind. There was alot more to it, but I was never that big a batman fan.

I think they were just saying that they wanted to be careful not to make him too much like The Joker.

To be honest, I would take TNBA Riddler over the gothic one anyday.

Phame17 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Nah, not really. The new Riddler is just too Gothic for a Scientist. The Riddler is very smart, and a very smart man wouldn't be all gothic and be a scientist, not to offend goths it's just honesty.
