Twyla Tharp is an artist of distinct American creativity whose place is among those as Georgia O'Keefe and Aaron Copeland. It's been a privilege to observe her work. Now, where are the videos for the performances I haven't seen?

Fascinating! I had no idea she used video (as opposed to Laban notation) to record her choreography. Thank you for posting this video!

Twyla Tharp "is a little too full of herself" -- er, they were interviewing her about her dances --not about you or about Ben Franklin. She is an amazing dancer-choreographer, and one of the good things about this country.
Martha Graham is herself and TT is herself and saying who is better is quite the waste of time.

I saw her company dance at the Kennedy Center in the 70s. From the few interviews I've seen, she is a little too full of herself, and I'd rather watch the dances, thankyouverymuch. But she's made some great dances. Nowhere near the the level of the work of the late Martha Graham, but still a great pop choreographer.

I danced with Twyla once at ADF. Crazy Fun!
