Saw this video once almost twenty years ago, always remembered it though.

They were always a bit whacky so this shouldn't come as any surprise. They are one of my favourites of all time. It amazes me that more people are not into them. They are beautiful.

no, Kate McGarrigle is Rufus' mom...and his dad is Loudon Wainwright...

Is Maggie Rufus Wainwright's mom?

I'm also a long time Roches fan. I agree with your excellent comment, bonjourdadou. This may be too strong (or wrong), but it could be that the only form of music video by which The Roches are well served is the live performance style. I like watching them sing and perform. Yes, it would be great if they could create a music video that would cement their fame and fortune, but this enjoyable, whimsical video wasn't the one to do it. I'll play the video in order to listen to the song.

Long time Roches fan here. This may not be the greatest music video ever made but I like the song and it makes me giddy seeing them in this medium. Did they make any other vids, does anyone know?

The only Roches video I saw on VH1. Got their CDs, though.

Love The Roches; not a huge fan of this song, however. Check out a bunch of their others.

Doesn't get better than the Roches for harmonies (Anti 80s backlash, Another Christmas passing through)! |
