personally i am a great admirer of richard branson , however , how can he buy this nonsense about a global warming tipping point ? i wouldn't worry about that at all . the important thing is that this is a huge step for mankind . america needs to get behind this . it is also nice that the builder was an american , in a sense following behind the wright brothers .

Personally, we do not need to be spending millions/billions on space travel... How about we stop giving up on our planet and fix the problems here and now.

this is exactly what people thought when planes were inventd people thought it was crazey to cross the atlantic etc same as now we think its crazy, and an forty thousand people can afford it imagine the profit they will make, and the price will go down in 50 years or so just like the commercial airlines

that is what people said when the first computer was born. Until Bill Gates make it affordable to many households, we cant live without it (alomost). I am sure Branson will make virgin galactic affordable in the future.
