Yer supposed to LISTEN, not just be a SLAVE. Everything Bobby has done is NOT good. SOme good, some bad.
Victim or the Crime is MUCHO GRANDE bad.
A waste of five minutes. And four semi-tones.

I looked it up for you. Here is a symphonic piece that utilizes a similar technique (col legno) as Mr. Wasserman:
"Dream of Witches' Sabbath" of the fifth and last movement of Berlioz' Symphonie Fantastique

Man, there's some pretty "weird" classical music out there... You just gotta start listening.
We did "col legno" style in high school orchestra back in... 1992! This style has been around for centuries!

how long ago was that name given? surely it wasn't part of classical music until some experimentalists came along. how long ago could that have been?

This was in 1989 - 1990.. it used to come on at 2 am Saturday nights where I lived.. we would make sure we left any gig we would play in time to get back to the band house to watch this.. The song was co-written by actor Gerrit Graham, who played "Beef" in the film "Phantom of the Paradise"
