well, it really depends on what you burn. For instance Mg burns and the resulting MgO weighs more than Mg, etc. The burnt match has a different chemical composition and, though it may be much less sturdy, it may weigh more. I don't know the exact composition of the match so I cannot say for sure whether it weighs less or more, but the weight surely changes.

A burnt match does not have more mass... Combustion releases carbon dioxide and water thus lowering the mass...

Several interesting things, most importantly: the burnt match weighs more the a regular one. Also, the stick has a "notch" burnt into it, allowing better leverage. Note: this is chemistry AND physics.
