i totally agree with you, when people start moving to the technical aspect of music they just remove themselves completely from the reason why we listen to music.
I personally love blues and many other genres including classical music. Theres a sense of freedom in blues that u cant buy in other genres of music. We all know that Hendrix mastered the freedom feeling. And wat's better than listenin to music that isnt as predictable and free. Dont get me wrong i can listen to metal and blues any day

i think that's harder play blues than metal..anybody can get speed, it's just practice, but the feeling just can't buy...and the most important thing about music its the feeling that brings tou you
. that's the reason why you never can compare a blues/rock guitar player with a metal one.
